Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Facebook Lives

The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Conmplex is offering Facebook Livestreams for younger kids on MFW at 8:30 am CST. Live content for older kids (through high school) will be offered MWF at 12pm CST. Archived videos can be seen hereLearn about living in space, Mars, and rocketry, and take tours through Space Shuttle Atlantis and the astronaut training experience. The Complex is also offering at-home activities here

 

"Quarantime" with Science Mom and Math Dad

Monday-Friday, 9:00-11:00am CST, Science Mom and Math Dad will offer live science lessons, engineering challenges, a Q & A, and more. Content geared towards 7-11-yr-olds.

 

Digital Safari Facebook Lives from the Cincinnati Zoo

The Cincinnati Zoo is offering digital safaris every day at 2:00pm CST March 17-April 11. They'll introduce one of their animals and provide a related activity kids can do at home.

 

Draw Every Day with JJK!

Cartoonist Jarrett Krosoczka--known for his Lunch Lady and Jedi Academy graphic novel series, offers online drawing classes Mon-Fri on YouTube at 1:00 PM CST.

 

 

Lunch Doodles with Mo Willems!

Join the Elephant & Piggie and Pigeon author-illustrator Monday-Friday at noon CST and draw together!

 

 

Live Language Lessons in Multiple Languages from Language Sprout

Books, songs, and rhymes that promote school readiness and early literacy skills while having fun. Geared to kids 2-5 yrs old and their caregivers.

 

Northfield Public Library Cuentacuentos/Bilingual Storytime

Livestreamed on Facebook Wednesdays at 10:00a.m., Miércoles a las 10:00a.m.

Kids of all ages are invited to enjoy songs, rhymes, and stories in both English and Spanish. Niñas y niños de todas las edades están invitados a participar en cuentos y canciones en inglés y español.

Northfield Public Library's Thursday LEGO Challenge!

Do you have LEGO bricks at home? On Thursday afternoons at 3:30pm, we'll be posting weekly challenges on Facebook, just like we do at LEGO Club in person. Once you've completed your creation, take a pic and send it to emily.lloyd@ci.northfield.mn.us so Emily can post it in the comments! We can't wait to see what you build. (Don't have LEGO? Build with boxes! Pillows! Apples! Pennies! You can still take part in the "LEGO" Challenge.)
