Northfield Public Library is open. The health and safety of our staff and patrons is our first priority. Whether in person or remotely, we are here for you. If you cannot or will not wear a mask or face covering over your nose and mouth, you may not enter the building, but no-contact library services are still available to you.
We ask you to:
Stay Home if You are Sick. If you or anyone in your household is sick or has symptoms, do not enter the library.
Wash Your Hands. Frequent handwashing is your first line of defense against infection.
Wear a Mask. Wearing a mask that covers your mouth and nose is required to protect library staff and other patrons. If you don't have a mask, we'll give you one to keep. Fabric masks are offered for free and are reusable.
Limit Your Stay. Toys and many soft furnishings have been removed to facilitate a clean and sanitary environment. Library staff are cleaning and disinfecting at regular intervals throughout the day. During this time, meeting rooms are not available for public use, and library programs will be conducted virtually.
Follow Social Distancing. Keep 6 feet from library staff and other patrons. Follow staff guidance, posted signs, and floor markings to ensure adequate spacing.
Public Computer Access
8 public internet computers are currently available. Time is limited to 1 hour per person per day. Library staff disinfects public computers between users.
Get Your Requests
The bookdrops are open. Return all materials in the book drop. Do not hand returned items to library staff.

Register for a library card in the building at any service desk, or online by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Online Access from Anywhere
The library provides a range of digital offerings, including eBooks and eAudiobooks from Libby, streaming movies on Kanopy, online databases for research and homework, and Lynda.com, an online learning platform with thousands of tutorials.
Free Wi-fi Access
Access the library’s free wi-fi network from in the library or outside the building (even in the parking lot).
