Summer 2017 Library Page Applications Available April 3

The summer reading program is right around the corner, and that means it's time to apply to be a volunteer library page!

Hi, I'm Emily. I joined NPL as the new Children's Programming Librarian last Monday, and I can't wait to begin working with the kids who will design, engineer, and present this year's summer reading activities with me. Kids finishing 5th grade this year (and up) are invited to pick up a page application at the library's children's desk starting on Monday, April 3. Applications are due back at the library by Friday, April 21.

This year's summer reading theme is Build a Better World, and I'm eager to explore the many ways we can interpret "building," from building massive structures out of unlikely materials to building community with intentional acts of kindness.

I have no doubt this year's pages will come bursting with ideas I haven't considered, and that's what excites me most of all. I'm really looking forward to my first summer at Northfield Public Library.

Let's build.
