The Idea

We are starting a community project making use of recycled materials.  We aim to provide a free, fun, sustainable alternative to plastic  library bags. By getting involved you are participating in a movement that  celebrates a local grassroots initiative, community building and sustainability.

Items needed:

Sewing machines– bring one you are familiar with to the BEE!

Thread– any colors

Fabric scissors

Basic sewing skills– or we can teach you!

Fabric Collection Days

Collect and donate CLEAN fabric for the bags.  It can be scraps and remnants at least 1/2 yard.  Bring it to the library or bring it with you to cut and sew on a Book Bag Bee Day
