Drop in for LEGO, Magna-Tiles, origami, art, and games Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 12:30-3pm beginning June 11 and running through July 25. It's a great way to meet new and old friends to play without having to arrange a group play date!
Add your LEGO masterpiece to our shelf-top gallery, build a space bomber paper airplane, experiment with augmented reality, and more! Don't forget to get snapped in our space-themed photo booth.
Registration for the Summer Reading Program begins Monday, June 3. Stop in at the library to pick up your reading log, BINGO sheet, or review slips, and blast into summer...OR register online and download your log or BINGO sheet to print (see column to the left).
Drop-in activities and prizes begin on Tuesday, June 11.
Prizes are available at the library from 9am-3pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays June 11 through July 25.
A limited selection will also be available at Books and Stars performances in the parks [with the exception of the pool date on July 10] and at the Children’s Desk during the library’s other open hours up through August 8).
Starting June 11, trained teens are available to read 1-on-1 with kids going into 1st through 5th grade from 9am-3pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. You can read to them, or they can read to you! Please come prepared with a book to read together.
Reading Buddies will read with kids for 20 minutes by appointment. Max one appointment per child per week.
Beginning on June 10, please call Youth Services Librarian Emily at 507-645-1810 to request an appointment.
Reading Buddies runs June 11-July 24, Tues, Weds, and Thurs from 9-3 at Northfield Public Library, 210 Washington St.
